One of the goals I set for myself at the beginning of the year was to try and be more philanthropic, in spite of my limited budget. And I've been trying to find small projects that can make an impact.
In January I designed a safety pin necklace (you can read about it's significance HERE) and donated some of the proceeds to the Fugees Family organization to help them provide services to refugee children.
Then this morning, I got my daily Skimm, which included this link to Charity Water.org, which is an organization that helps provide clean water worldwide.
Did you know that there are approximately 663 MILLION people worldwide who do not have access to clean water?
So from today until April 30th, for every order of my handmade jewelry, I will donate 10% of the profits to Charity Water. Cuz it seems like clean water is a no brainer.
Thanks, Skimm, to make it so easy to give.
